TOKYO: Sony announced it is lowering the price electronic game console, the PlayStation Vita in Japan by a third compared to the previous price.
The move was made following intense competition from online gaming faced leading electronics company and its competitors that manufacture electronic game consoles.
The company said 3G/Wi-Finya model will be sold at a price of 19.980 yen (RM740.42) from the end of this month.
It is lower than the current price of 29.980 yen (RM984.40), while the price of the Wi-Fi model is reduced to 19.980 yen (RM740.42) from the current price 24.980 yen (RM820.22).
Earlier this month, Sony warned investors about the performance of the slow sales of the Vita.
