Add analytical capacity in operation
U Mobile Sdn Bhd, a 3G mobile operator working with SAS Malaysia aims to integrate Visual Analytics SAS solution with U Mobile's operations.Chief Executive, Jaffa Sany Ariffin, said the move was made to allow access company executives consumer behavior data in real time to make more informed business decisions.
"With the addition of analytical capacity in operation, we are confident of continued strategic planning to expand the business and increase our market share in the country.

"We control 10 percent of the market with four million existing users. We aimed to increase the number of users to 15 to 20 percent over the next five years, "he said after the signing ceremony in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

Jaffa said the first phase of the integration of SAS Visual Analitics involving the marketing, product development and sales U Mobile.
"With the software system, suppliers are able to know the flow of the market, and we obtain in-depth analysis of the profile, behavior and consumption patterns U Mobile users," he said.
Meanwhile, Tan said, Analitics Visual software can provide a huge competitive advantage to U Mobile.
"The advantage of the software is a user-friendly system and auto chart feature that allows the selection of the best format to describe information automatically.
"It can also be accessed from a variety of web-capable devices like the iPad and so on," he said.
